Social Media Policy – Sales Focus Advisory platforms (April 2020)

Sales Focus Advisory uses a range of social media channels to inform, engage, communicate with, and learn from stakeholders and the business community. Below is some information about what each social media channel is used for and the rules around participation.

Twitter

The Sales Focus Advisory Twitter profile is used to:

  • provide knowledge content and be seen as best practice within our service offerings
  • distribute news, announcements, activities, event notices and updates from the Sales Focus Advisory website
  • address community enquiries.

The Sales Focus Advisory marketing team may choose to follow organisations and individuals involved with, or actively discussing relevant issues. Individuals and organisations choosing to follow Adele Crane or Sales Focus Advisory on Twitter may be followed in return. You may request that Sales Focus Advisory or Adele Crane stop following you by tweeting a request to the account, emailing media@salesfocusadvisory.com or by blocking the account using the block function in Twitter. Will you respond to my enquiry?

Where possible, the Sales Focus Advisory marketing team will respond to enquiries and direct messages sent via our social media accounts in the same manner as the team responds to emails, post, and phone. Our responses should be considered as comparatively informal, similar to a telephone call.

When are social media accounts monitored?

The Sales Focus Advisory marketing team periodically monitors accounts during business hours (Australian Eastern Time). The accounts may also be intermittently monitored outside business hours subject to staff availability.

Participation Guidelines

We aim to post relevant, interesting content and welcome your comments and suggestions. We want all members of our social media networks to feel comfortable entering into informed debate and discussion. We want this to be an open and honest forum. This site is moderated and taking the above into consideration, we reserve the right to remove any of the following as not complying with acceptable use:

  • Comments, links, or images that are sexist, racist, or discriminatory.
  • Comments that threaten any person or organisation.
  • Comments that defame or harass an individual.
  • Successive off-topic posts by a single poster.
  • Links to off-topic personal profiles, groups or pages.
  • Repetitive posts copied and pasted or duplicated by single or multiple posters.
  • Solicitations or advertisements for any political party.
  • Comments that encourage illegal activity.

In the event of a post being taken down because it doesn’t comply with acceptable use, the author will be informed of the reason and given the opportunity to resubmit.

Third-party sites or profiles linked from our social media accounts are not controlled, maintained, or endorsed by Sales Focus Advisory (with the exception of Sales Focus Advisory home page).

To the extent permitted by law, Sales Focus Advisory is not responsible or liable for any content posted on or uploaded to this site by a user or any content on third party sites linked to this site.
